A Love Story Meant to Be
Every great love story has its own rhythm — a mix of perfect timing, unexpected turns, and moments that feel like magic. Ours began on January 9, 2019, with a little mystery and a lot of personality — at the Escape Room in downtown Memphis. After we failed to escape, we shared a meal and started unlocking something far more meaningful than just puzzles.
In those early months, we dated, but life had us headed in different directions. So, we pressed pause on romance and chose friendship instead — always staying connected, always checking in.
Fast forward to April 1, 2023 when we decided to catch up with a walk at Shelby Farms. What was meant to be a simple stroll turned into a 10-mile adventure, full of laughter, conversations, and actual wandering (yes, we got a little lost). But in the best way. That day, we didn’t just reconnect — we rediscovered each other. And this time, it felt different. It felt right.
From that day forward, love bloomed naturally. We made new memories: exploring Jamaica’s beaches, toasting to one year at Amelia Gene’s, sharing lunch breaks at work, spending time with our families, and enjoying time together between downtown Memphis and Cordova.
By August 2024, Brandon knew what his heart wanted — forever. He asked for Alana’s parents’ blessing and started planning something unforgettable. With the help of those closest to Alana, he orchestrated a romantic surprise proposal at Southern Social.
On October 25, 2024, Brandon looked into Alana’s eyes and said, “I couldn’t imagine my life without you now.” Then came the question that changed everything: “Will you marry me?”
With a full heart and no hesitation, Alana replied, “Yes, absolutely yes!”
And that — was only the beginning.
